Like Most Websites, There’s A Chance We’ll Collect Some Data About You

Rest assured, we will absolutely never, ever, ever, sell your personal information. When you use the services on this site though, we may collect your email and your name. Or a more tech term, ‘user data.’ We may need to authenticate your user data, update you on services, notify you of a change in service or send you stuff like legal notices, including subpoenas (yuck). That kind of hoohah.  If you leave comments or contact us or provide any kind of feedback, we’ll more than likely collect some personal data as a result.

In addition to info you provide us, and because websites collect data, this site will collect data like your IP address. That’s like an address for your computer. It also tracks data like what web page you came from. This helps us identify issues and collects broad demographic data. The demographic data is pretty generic and contains no personal or financial info. It’s info like your zip code and such. Any credit card info you give is through a third party set up to conduct financial transactions that benefit the buyer and seller. We do not keep a record of credit card information. No worries. We also use cookies! But not the kind with chocolate chips–the kind that collects browser data. You can disable cookies if you wish. Check with your browser settings.

If you comment on blog post, be nice now. Also know that your username will be publicly shown. The comment will be public too. So don’t post personal information you would not want public. See our Terms of Use if you are submitting a post because you are agreeing to the terms by interacting with the site. And be nice.

Occurrences Where We Might Release Your Information

Basically we’d only release your information for legal purposes. We may disclose info about our users, including personal information. We’ll release this info if we are required by the law or if we in good faith believe that such disclosure of information is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders or any other legal processes.  If a law enforcement officer has a legal request for user information we collected on this site, we may give it to them. Also we may give them this information if we in good faith believe the information can be used to enforce our Terms of Use.

Transfer of Information

We reserve the right to transfer your information on the occasion that ownership changes from Ideas With Heart, LLC to another company. This would be the case such as an acquisition or if a merger were to occur. If the privacy policy were to change, you would be notified prior to the change. We’ll let you know.
